Brief Overview of the position: The role of the Executive Director of USA
Hockey is to act as the chief operating officer of USA Hockey, Inc. USA
Hockey, Inc. is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization, which has been
designated by the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) as the National
Governing Body for amateur ice hockey in the United States. It is a
membership service organization with over 600,000 members including players,
coaches, referees, administrators, and other non-participants involved with
ice hockey and inline hockey. USA Hockey, Inc. incorporated the USA Hockey
Foundation and a captive insurance company (HARP) that also provide benefits
to its members. The Executive Director has the overall supervisory position
for the business aspects of the organization including its budget and its
membership services operations. |
